*) Yearly index of consumer prices measures the evolution of total prices of purchased goods and  of tariffs of services used by the population in the current year as against the previous year (or another year chosen as reference period).
This index is computed as the ratio, expressed in percentages, between the average index of the prices of current year and the average index of the previous year (or another year chosen as reference period).
Since 1992, average index of prices of a certain year is computed as simple arithmetic mean of monthly indices in that year, calculated as against the same base (October 1990=100).
Yearly rate of inflation is calculated deducting 100 from yearly index of consumer prices.
