Intrastat

Statistics on international trade with goods deal with cross-border movements. A distinction is made between movements of goods between EU Member States (INTRASTAT), on the one hand, and trade flows with countries that do not belong to the European Union, on the other, (EXTRASTAT). Since 2007, National Statistical Institute collects and process the INTRASTAT statistical declarations from economic operators obliged to declare data under INTRASTAT system. All economic operators which perform intra-community trade with goods transactions and whose annual value of these movements is above statistical thresholds set yearly by NSI for each of the two flows must fill in and transmit in electronic format the INTRASTAT statistical declaration.
